I’m Kayana, a New York University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics and a minor in Media, Culture and Communication.

My passion for health, fitness and writing got me started with this blog. I find it important to become aware of what we’re consuming, balance the right foods, and treat our bodies with respect. If you stick with me, you’ll read about what I think about before eating and how I maintain my body.

Experimenting in the kitchen is one of my many hobbies. My goal is to develop creative and innovative ways of using each ‘focus ingredient.’ All of the recipes found on this blog are original. I encourage you to try some! If I can do it, you can do it!

Aside from blogging, working-out and cooking, I’m a singer/songwriter and oboist.
